House Snooze

The heavily fortified compound I attempted to acquire has fallen out of my grasp for the moment.

The current king of that castle must have befallen a nasty case of Viper's Dance because he's been out of work.

No work = no mortgage loan
No mortgage loan = no ability to buy the house they put an offer on
No ability to buy house = no desire to sell house
No desire to sell house = Mr. Frogurt goes up into the watchtower with a sniper rifle rather than start looking for houses again

The summer is over. Cold weather is coming.
The Packers lost to the cocksucking Bears, and will lose again this week, albeit to a really good team.
The house we wanted and held out hope for is now taken from us by an odd twist of fate.
I ran over a squirrel today.
Two weeks ago was my neice's 10th birthday, last week was my wife's birthday, this week is my dad's birthday ...as a result I'm near overdrawn on my checking account (if not overdrawn already).
The Call of Duty expansion is out but I cannot afford a computer upgrade to play it, nor the game itself.
The Pacific Assualt demo is freely available online, but I cannot play it (see above computer upgrade problem).
And I'll be stuck in my crowded, ugly flat for the foreseeable future with no good, affordable house prospects on the horizon.

Oh, but one good thing did happen today, ...everybody meet Alexia.
