Favre Comes Out Swinging for Couch

Sorta.

The reports had billed Favre's comments as "defending" Couch. I guess that's mostly accurate, but Favre did fail to provide a ringing endorsement for the weak-armed, washed-up, waste-of-money.

I'll be as fair as I can.

Either Couch looks like a real quarterback on Saturday night, or he has to go. Anything less and Sherman is an idiot.

National sports writers are weighing on continuing Couch calamity.

Money quote: Carmen Policy said when he resigned as the Browns' president during the offseason that Couch's failure had been one of his biggest disappointments in Cleveland. Every interception that Couch threw, Policy said, felt like a dagger to the heart. The Packers don't have nearly as much time or money invested in Couch as the Browns did. But they are beginning to have an idea what Policy was talking about.
